Compensation payments for damage and losses caused to vehicles by deer and moose will cease on 1 December 2009

Under the new Act on damage caused by game animals (27.2.2009/105), compensation payments by the Treasury for losses caused to vehicles by deer and moose will cease. The government will no longer compensate for losses incurred on or after 1 December 2009.

It is possible to apply for compensation for losses caused by moose or deer in 2009, but before 1 December 2009, until further notice.
